With the excitements of the newly launched 2019 Volvo S60 T8 still lingering in our wits, Volvo is blowing our minds further with a clever move on the sales. You can order for the S60 T8 All-Wheel-Drive Polestar Engineered from today, 28th June. But that’s not all the news yet. The sad part is that its US supplies will be limited to only 20 units and the cars can only be acquired through Volvo Care. And? The 2019 Volvo S60 T8 is available through Volvo subscription program: It will cost you just $1,100 per month to start driving the new Volvo S60 T8 PE.

In case you have not been informed, the 2019 Volvo S60 T8 Polestar Engineered is powered by 415 horsepower drivetrain, which delivers 494 pound-feet of torque. The Swedish company senior vice president of research and development, Henrik Green described it as “an electrified car that does exactly what you want it to”.  It is engineered to deliver a responsive and exciting drive, with all components fine-tuned to work together, far more robust compared to the predecessors. The lucky ones to acquire the S60 T8 eAWD PE will be getting its Brembo brakes calipers and Öhlins’ dual-flow valve suspension system.

The 2019 Volvo S60 T8 Interior is similar to the larger S90

Though this new S60 is a little smaller, the V60 inspired a lot of the design for the 2019 Volvo S60 T8 interior. They are almost identical, hence, it prides the features and design cues available in the S90, with a few notable differences. The new S60 has the traditional vertically-aligned infotainment screen, boxy dashboard that sits slightly taller and ample center console. It has new trim and armrests at the reworked door panels and just beneath the window is where the handle is placed. The Sensus infotainment system supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and 4G while the touchscreen is a lot similar to recent Volvo models featuring navigation, entertainment apps, connected services and combine car functions.

Performance features

The All-Wheel-Drive S60 Polestar Engineered has a supercharged and turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0-liter. It offers a total power and torque enough to achieve 62 mph in 4.3 seconds

  • T5 And T6 Gasoline Engines
  • T8 Hybrid Drivetrain Polestar Engineering Model
  • Up To 415 Horsepower
  • No Diesel Engine Options
  • Eight-Speed Automatic

The 2019 Volvo S60 T8 Pricing and availability

The limited number of units to be supplied (20 cars) only applies to the 2019 model, S60 T8. It may also interest you that the older models, T5 and T6 are also available through subscriptions for the variants (Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription), starting at $850 per month for the base. The T8 is not offering Momentum trim but R-Design and Inscription priced at $55,395 with subscription available at $1,100 per month. Also, the T8 PHEV is the only model available through Care by Volvo. While the restricted source gives you access to the car for an all-inclusive monthly fee, the challenge is doing the paperwork.
