The 2019 Ram 1500 can be used as a work truck or a luxury vehicle

Fiat Chrysler’s 2019 Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup truck that offers staggering capabilities. The Ram 1500 is simply the best truck you can buy today, and interestingly, it can be used as a work truck or a luxury vehicle. Depending on the work type, the Ram 1500 can serve on both occasions if that’s what you want from a pickup truck.

Featuring the best pickup truck interior

The Ram’s interior outclasses that of all other pickup trucks in the American market. It’s indeed a luxury product and features a massive portrait touch screen like those in Tesla. The 2019 Ram 1500 comes with massive heated and cooled seats comfortable enough for long hauls. You can reconfigure the center console with sliding cup holder trays and under the cabin lids are conversion charts and formula references that will be useful to contractors.

The cabin noise is very minimal on the freeway and you can power a small hospital inside the pickup truck if there’s a need. The 2019 Ram 1500 has two 110-volt power outlets, a wireless charging pad, five USB-A ports, and four USB-C ports. It’s also fully packed with safety features.

In case you need some impromptu coolers, the locking ram boxes on the side of the bed are watertight and can be drained. The entire truck is designed with thoughtful details to ensure that drivers don’t wish for more. That’s what it takes to be dubbed the best pickup truck out there.

The 2019 Ram 1500 powertrain

Drivers have two options for powertrains: the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine or the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 base engine. There’s an option to include eTorque system, a standard mild-hybrid system, in the more powerful trim. The 5.7-liter engine delivers 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque, connected to dual exhaust pipes that chant irresistible notes. Pairing with the electric motor, the V-6 engine delivers 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. The eTorque is a 48-volt integrated generator loaded with a battery pack located in the rear of the cabin wall. Spec-wise, Ram has a towing capacity between 6,280 to 7,520 lbs. Though Ram doesn’t offer system power spec for the eTorque trim, Fiat says the electric motor contributes as much as 90 lb-ft of torque to the V-6 engine and 130 lb-ft to the V8.

Available in many options

The pickup truck is available as a regular cab, crew cab, short bed, extended cab, wide bed, with V-6, V-8 with eTorque, V-8 without eTorque, with Ram boxes, two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The 2019 Ram 1500 price starts at $33,190 (MSRP) and can go as high as $57,040.
