Oracle Corporation, the world’s No. 2 business software maker said that it had agreed to acquire Responsys, a cloud-based marketing software company, for $27 a share in cash, or about $1.5 billion, to further bolster its cloud-based marketing efforts. Responsys is a software company that makes cloud-based software that businesses use to run their marketing campaigns across e-mail, mobile, display and social advertising across the Web.
