Scooter Braun: An Entrepreneurial Success Story – Part I

Scooter Braun’s success story is very much inspiring for entrepreneurs who aspire to follow their passion.

The American music industry loves Scooter Braun and it never tires of hearing his success story as a music producer who makes and breaks records.

When we mention the name of Scooter Braun, we need to additionally mention a few popular names, like Justin Bieber and Asher Roth. Among American successful entrepreneurs, there is not much space for the average results. You are either successful or not.

Scooter Braun is responsible for discovering some of the biggest stars in the last decade, and he continues to build their careers to a meteoric rise.

Here is how he changed the American music industry and how he became one of the most successful agents in the music industry.

Strong Belief in Success

Justin Beiber was just a kid when he was discovered by Scooter Braun 2008. Braun believed he discovered a real gem and offered Bieber the professional contract.

Everyone in Braun’s ecosystem told him he was stupid to make this kind of decision, but he, himself, knew the truth. He needed to follow his instincts and he offered the contract to the young artist.

The rest is history, and Bieber turned out to be one of the biggest discoveries in the music world.

This tells us that you have to trust yourself no matter the circumstances.

Be Emotionally Invested

If you are not emotionally invested, you cannot have good results. This is especially true if you are working with people who want to make a visible trace in some area. In this case, the music industry a always needs improvements and it is full of talented people who need more recognition.

To find special people, you need to be emotional and truly devoted to each person. If you do things only on a professional level, you can make results, but these results will not always be positive. Only when you invest some valuable emotions can you expect great outcomes.

All of these rules are incorporated into the work of Scooter Braun and his management company Scooter Braun Projects. He did a lot of hard work in the past and his company was the main company for representing many artists. All of them made their careers in some musical endeavors.

Find the Like-Minded People

If you surround yourself with like-minded people, you increase the chances of success in some areas of work. This was the important rule for Scooter Braun who was on the list of Billboard “30 under 30” people who made significant careers.

Braun saw the name of Daniel Ek on the Billboard list and called him to see how they can connect in the future. Daniel Ek ended up collaborating with other people on the Spotify project, which started as a promising startup and ended up as the ultimate way of consuming music for many people worldwide.

The Sweden-born Daniel Ek and his Spotify co-founder Martin Lorentzon are examples of how like-minded people can change the future. When the great minds are on the same page, miracles happen.

When Scooter Braun wanted to connect to the people who were on the Billboard list, he wanted to spread his influence in the world of music. Aside from Daniel Ek, he searched for producers and managers who can help his company grow.

He founded Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG) in 2008 in a collaboration with R&B artist Usher. This is a media and record company that is specialized in music promotion and production.

Braun and Usher are responsible persons for the overall production segments within the company. They work closely to ensure every artist gets the attention they need in the process of creating and presenting music.
