One of the most brutal things that can happen to someone is that he is burning with fever and he needs to sit for his turn at the doctor’s. An individual never looks forward to visiting a doctor and when he does, it is always a desperate measure. At such a time if the person is expected to wait for his turn, then it’s an insensitive concept. Right from the time we visited a pediatrician to a family physician, the thought of sitting at the dispensary waiting always repelled us. It often happens that a patient dismisses the thought of visiting a doctor just because of this inconvenience. This dismissal might further lead to the deterioration of health of the person. To avoid such circumstances, a European startup DocPlanner came up with a unique facility.

DocPlanner is an online facility which enables you to book an appointment with a doctor online. This makes things much easier for a person who is ill as he can do so right at his fingertips, literally. The European startup provides an online booking platform in order to make healthcare appointments. It acts as a mediator between the consumer and the doctors. Its cloud software stores information of private healthcare providers like doctors, dentists, and any other professionals who deal with the health of an individual. Be it a small or a large clinic, anyone can sign up on this portal.

DocPlanner provides medical professionals a platform where they can create and manage a professional profile. This profile will let them respond to reviews submitted by the patients they served. Such a feature would make sure that the doctor treats the patient well. And most importantly, the doctors can take bookings from this site. Even for the patient, he need not go around looking for a doctor in the time of need. All he has to do is type his problem on the site and he will receive a list of doctors whose field of expertise is the same.

Due to its promising services, investors showed keen interest in providing funds to this European startup. Around ten months ago, DocPlanner announced receiving a fund worth $20 million in the Series C round. Recently, the startup raised around $16.7 million in the Series D round. The figures are really commendable for a startup that too within the span of one year. With this money, the company aims to set up new offices in Brazil and Mexico in the next six months. This step is keeping in mind the fact that the company’s core market for marketing and sales is in Latin America and Southern Europe.
