Amazon is launching a new market place for handmade goods called Amazon Handmade. Etsy sellers talked about a welcome email, they got from Amazon with an incredible premium, urging them to come over to Amazon. An email welcome stated that while introducing Amazon Handmade, another market place at Amazon, they are putting forth artisans -Etsy at a first look at Handmade, another commercial center for handcrafted goods.

The news arrives a few days after Etsy shares crashed around 24 per cent after reporting its first quarter earnings. While Etsy has 20.8 million of active buyers, the company official said that analysts believe its growth has been hindered by the spread of counterfeit goods, as well as goods that infringe on intellectual property.

Amazon incorporated a connection to a structure where merchants could give data about their organizations in return for accepting restrictive upgrades ahead of time of the dispatch. It needed merchants to show a necessary division in which they sold, giving them the decision of selecting one of the accompanying classifications like apparel, accessories, beauty & personal care, baby, home & kitchen, jewelry, grocery & gourmet, pet supplies, stationary & party supplies, sporting goods, and toys & games.

Sellers talking about the new market place of Amazon Handmade, and assumed that whether Amazon.com could provide a suitable environment for handmade goods, or in the event that it would need to be a different market place from its main site, however, the recent system is not keeping with Amazon’s usually approach.

Amazon takes 15 per cent for an item end delivery for themselves on their regular site. They realize that it can kill margins for lots of people, and expected delivery time, and speed of preparation.

Sellers were likewise worried about the measurement of work to neglect things on Amazon.com, and about whether other sellers would piggyback onto their offerings, while some were especially worried about the likelihood of others utilizing their official images.

The commission structure for Amazon Homemade is not yet revealed. Etsy takes around 3.5 per cent of the price, and a flat 20 cents per listing. But, Amazon charges its own 3rd-party sellers a 15 per cent commission. It was assumed that if Amazon keeps on adhering with that structure, it will probably invite troubles, luring Etsy sellers away. Finally, Etsy and Amazon spokesperson declined to comment further for this story.
